1. Landfill Issues
2. Traffic Issues

3. Dirty Coastal

LandFill  Issues

The city dumpsite today is not the city dumpsite like year ago.
The landfill is really a land filled with tons and tons of trash.
According to the city landfill the maximum of trash to be
accepted per year is 1.2 million tons only but then last year
it rose up to 4.5 million of tons. If the calamity hits the city,
the dumpsites’ garbage will overflown and will affect more
places. The garbage will go with the flood and may worsen
calamity situation. Factor is too few trucks who are functioning
and are working and some trucks are soon to join the dumpsite
trash. Lack of equipments leads too poor and slow piling of garbage and things are
hard to organized and clean.

Solution
1.For the government to fund more for the development of the landfill.
2.For the government to fund for new equipments
3.To aware the cagayanons about proper waste management

Traffic Issues

Cagayan de Oro is on its way to become a metro city here in Mindanao.

The indeed has a growing population. More people means more pollution.
Trapped on a heavy traffic gives the drivers and passengers headache.
Traffic congestion contributes to the city’s air pollution.
This is because traffic leads to incresed fuel consumption and emissions as
vehicles are forced to operate less efficiently. Factors are:
Traffic lights are not working, Lack of traffic enforcers, and irresponsible drivers.

Solution
1.Fix traffic lights
2.For vehicles to follow road rules and regulations
3.For more traffic enforcers not just in divi area
4.Walk if near destination

Dirty Coastal

Philippines are blessed to have lots of bays.
Improper waste disposal leads to unhealthy environment .
Were trash are flush in the sea when it flood. Thus, the sea will be polluted.
Health issues are also visible for children were allowed to swim in the dirty water.
This blessing will be a problem soon if we continue to be irresponsible and  failed to act.

Solution
1.Hold a seminar about importance of clean coast to the settlers.
2.Let the officials amend laws about coastal maintaince
3.Let the settler be responsible for their coast and teach them proper waste management
4.Disallow their children to swim on dirty water.
